README is excited to announce the third and final meeting of our 2018 reading group!
On Monday, October 15th at 5pm we will meet in the IS Commons of UCLA’s GSEIS Department to discuss Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds (2017) by adrienne maree brown. Much of README’s core drive has been about futurity and our capacity to build better systems and technical worlds. Since emergent strategy is about pushing activist work into new territories of collaboration and collectively, our discussion will (mostly) address how README can benefit from engaging with emergent strategy in our own organizing. We welcome anyone interested in discussing emergent strategy or the future of README to join!
During our meeting, we may also finalize the location of our future fall Lab Hours as well as select a discussion topic for our next meeting.
